Rebeca was born and raised on the island of Puerto Rico, she worked as an administrative assistant for a Generalist Dr and a Cardiologist. Already married and with children, she decided to move to Fort Myers Florida, she loved the idea of venturing to study again and decided to study Massage Therapy, it was love at first sight. Already finishing her studies, her teacher told her about the lymphatic system and a modality that helps the lymphatic system work better. Everything aligned so that Rebeca could study lymphatic drainage and she identified a lot with this therapy, since her grandmother suffered from breast cancer and secondary lymphedema due to a mastectomy, and her grandfather had primary lymphedema (genetic).
Rebeca is a License Massage Therapist , Certified Lymphedema Therapist / Complete Decongestive Therapy and owner of Aviva Lymphatics LLC. Initially she was working exclusively with Post Surgery patients, improving patients' plastic and reconstructive surgery outcome . After finishing her Lymphedema Certification, she is focusing more on patients diagnosed with lymphedema and cancer survivors. She enjoys working with the geriatric population.
Rebeca puts her patients at ease with her laid back demeanor, but her skill quickly shines through as patients get better.
She is a certified lymphedema therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy.
In her free time, she enjoys paddle board/ kayak, going to the movies, and spending quality time with her husband and 2 kids.
